As my frustration levels began to mount this weekend while trying to figure out iMovie / voice over for my presentation, I ran across this tutorial. It is wonderful if you have a mac! I also ended up subscribing to Curt's site to find more tutorials on how to do things in my mac. I know that it is not a TeacherTube video so I will post another but I was excited and wanted to share the cool things I found!

This video does a great job showing the reproduction of a virus. I am currently teaching communicable diseases in my health classes. I need a way for the students to see instead of just hearing how viruses reproduce.

This is a great video. I can't wait to show it to my students. It is a rap song, Political Parties, created by Shoeless Jeff and Scott Free. I notice that they have created many Civics related rap videos. They are all very good. Their videos incorporate music that the students can relate to, fun, and educational facts. Showing this video will be a great introduction to having students create their own rap song.

I chose this video from Teacher Tube because I am currently teaching about both Judaism and Christianity. I plan on having my classes prepare a project comparing and contrasting Judaism and Christianity. I think that this video will help them with this project.

I chose this video because I'm actually trying to figure out right now exactly what I want to do on the day and half I have with the kids next week before Thanksgiving break. It's perfect because it's topical and they get to hear native speakers!

I couldn't believe that I came across this video on Teacher Tube! I remember watching this noun cartoon on television on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. It is a great and catchy song for beginners learning about parts of speech. I think I will show this to my 5th and 6th graders tomorrow as a fun noun review.

I searched and poured over Teachertube, but did not find a video that exactly worked for my Global Studies class, but on Youtube I found this video on the collapse of the Soviet Union. This video shows the end of Gorbachev and the takeover by Yeltsin and the breakup of the Soviet Union and the taking down of the Soviet flag. I used this video this week to show the students the former leaders and how the Soviet Union finally collapsed and was able to show them how the people stood up to the tanks to have a peaceful transition of Government.

I found this clip because in my Marketing class, I have students create jingles for a product they created and designed. I thought this clip could be used as a great intro. and show them how some jingles are created.

I saw this video with Abbott and Costello and thought it could definitely be a starter in my math class. Students would be hooked because it is funny, but it also has a different way of looking at multiplication. I think students would be more motivated to do work after seeing this video.

Schoolhouse Rocks are great videos to share with children. I found one about Mr. Morton that discusses the subject and predicate of sentences. It really drives the information home for students. I teach second grade and I think this will be an excellent resource for my classroom. Hard topic made simplified by the video.

With the revitalization of Dancing with the Stars, many of my senior citizen students think back to their teenage years when dancing was a part of every motion picture. Now that they are learning to use computers for emailing and joining social network organizations, they are interested in sharing some memories with their friends or expose younger family members (like grandchildren) to things that grandma used to love. One of my students sent this clip via email. I don't know what made her happier - revitalizing a forgotten memory or learning how to put this into an email to send to her friends. In any case I am sharing a short dance clip from the 40s or as my students say, when music was music and meant for dancing. Sit back and enjoy!
BTW, I looked at each of yours and they are entertaining while educating. Thanks for sharing!

This is a video from TeacherTube. I chose this video because I do a unit in propaganda in advertising. I like the examples from this video and the explanation given for each type of propaganda.

This is a short video from Teach Tube that could be used as an introduction to our Civil War unit.

This is a video about teaching autistic kids to color sort. I have taught these kids and also have a 3 year old nephew with autism so the instruction was interesting to me. I like seeing real teachers teach real lessons!
